Day 26 - Cortez, Colorado to Moab, Utah and Arches National Park

On June 4, we drove from Cortez to Moab without any trouble. The drive was short, which gave us an afternoon to explore Moab. We hiked two short trails in Arches National Park and spent time taking in the scenic overlooks. This is our first time here in Utah as a family. We didn't make it here in 2007 because there were just too many places to see. Today was the last day for Elijah and his girlfriend Tess. They flew back to Virginia to work for the summer. Here is a picture of all 14 of us in Cortez, Colorado. I've also included two pictures from Arches National Park. I don't like ranking the National Parks because each one has it's own beauty. However, I'd have to say that Arches is unique. I've simply never seen anything quite like it. Pictures don't fully capture the beauty of the amazing vistas and unique rock formations. I'd recommend a visit if you are ever near Moab, Utah.

I totally agree pictures don't capture the true beauty of the national parks. But love the stories. Keep the coming
